1. About us
The Settled East Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is a company registered in England and Wales. We provide relocation consultancy services to individuals and families moving to the United Arab Emirates.
2. Definitions
"Services" refers to the relocation consultancy services we provide as outlined in your chosen package. "Client" or "you" refers to the individual or individuals purchasing our services.
3. Our services
We offer guidance, support, and coordination across various aspects of relocation including visa advice, property search, schooling, settling-in services, and business formation support. The specific services included depend on the package selected. We will perform our services with reasonable skill and care.
4. Service limitations
Our services are advisory and consultancy in nature. We do not guarantee specific outcomes including but not limited to visa approvals, property availability, school placements, or business formation timelines. Final decisions on visa applications, property contracts, school admissions, and similar matters rest with the relevant authorities, institutions, or third parties.
5. Third-party services
We work with trusted third-party partners to deliver certain services, including but not limited to visa processing, property transactions, pet relocation, shipping, removals, and business formation.
We act as an introducer to these third parties. Once we have made an introduction or referral, any services provided by that third party are governed by their own terms and conditions. We are not responsible for the actions, performance, quality, delays, or outcomes of any third-party service.
We recommend you review the terms and conditions of any third party before entering into an agreement with them. Any contract you enter into with a third party is between you and that party alone.
6. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
Provide accurate, complete, and timely information when requested
Respond to our communications within reasonable timeframes
Make your own independent decisions regarding third-party services
Comply with all relevant laws and regulations in both your country of origin and the UAE
Delays or issues caused by incomplete, incorrect, or late information are not our responsibility.
7. Payment
Payment is required in full before services commence unless otherwise agreed in writing. All prices are quoted in GBP unless otherwise stated. We accept payment by bank transfer or card.
8. Refunds and cancellations
If you wish to cancel your package, please contact us in writing at info@thesettledeast.com.
Cancellations made within 14 days of purchase and before any work has commenced: full refund
Cancellations made after work has commenced: refunds are provided at our discretion based on the work already completed
No refunds will be given once the full service has been delivered
9. Changes to services
If you wish to change or upgrade your package after purchase, this may be accommodated subject to availability and additional fees. Any changes must be agreed in writing.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss or damage arising from our services
We are not liable for any loss, delay, or cost arising from the actions or omissions of third-party service providers
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total fees you have paid to us
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Intellectual property
All materials, documents, guides, and content we provide remain our intellectual property. You may use them for personal purposes related to your relocation but may not reproduce, distribute, or share them without our written consent.
12. Confidentiality and data protection
We treat your personal information with care and in accordance with applicable data protection laws including the UK GDPR. We will only share your information with third parties where necessary to deliver our services or where required by law.

13. Communication
Our primary method of communication is email. We aim to respond to enquiries within 2 business days. Support hours and response times may vary depending on your package.
14. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us at info@thesettledeast.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 14 business days.
15. Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to government actions, regulatory changes, natural disasters, pandemics, or acts of war.
16. Amendments
We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
17. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
18. Entire agreement
These terms, together with your chosen package details and any written correspondence, constitute the entire agreement between you and The Settled East Ltd.
19. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
